Fixed Tube Sheet Heat Exchanger
In a fixed tube sheet heat exchanger, the two tube sheets are fixed to the shell as one unit, and the covers at both ends are bolted to the tube sheets.
- Stainless steel material can be used
(SA240-304 / SA240-316L)
- Shape and capacity according to customer’s request
- Relatively simple structure
- Due to its structure, the outside of the tubes and the inside of the shell cannot be inspected or cleaned.
- Applicable when the shell-side fluid is at high temperature and high pressure.
U-Bend Type Heat Exchanger
In a U-bend type heat exchanger, the tubes are bent into a U-shape and the tube ends are fixed to the tube sheet.
- Stainless steel material can be used
(SA240-304 / SA240-316L)
- Shape and capacity according to customer’s request
- Usable even with large temperature differences due to free expansion of the U-bent tubes
- More tubes can be arranged than in other types with the same shell diameter.
- Tubes can be removed for cleaning (however, the inside of the U-bend cannot be cleaned completely).
- Applicable when the tube-side fluid is at high temperature and high pressure, or is corrosive.
